Deep bush.
Big skies.
Multi-day expedition camps in Hattah-Kulkyne National Park — 70km south of Mildura in the heart of Sunraysia. Mallee scrub, Ramsar-listed lakes, dark skies, and a guide team that's worked these tracks for 20+ years. Private groups, schools, and corporate leadership programs.
Days on the trail. Nights under the stars.
A typical Hattah expedition mixes paddling, hiking and ecology. We build the daily rhythm around your group's fitness and what they want out of it.
Bush hiking
Guided walks across mallee scrub, lake systems and floodplain — landscapes you won't see anywhere else.
Canoeing the Hattah Lakes
Glass-water paddling through the seasonal lake system. Calm, surreal, and full of birdlife.
Wildlife & ecology
Hattah is a Ramsar-listed wetland. Emus, kangaroos, regent parrots, and 200+ recorded bird species.
Navigation & bushcraft
Real bush navigation, fire safety, shelter and Leave No Trace — practical skills, properly taught.
Bush camping under the stars
Camp under some of the darkest skies in Victoria. No light pollution, no phone signal, no problem.
Astronomy & night walks
Quiet night walks, stargazing sessions and the occasional spotted owlet sighting. Hattah after dark is something else.
Everything but the swag.
We handle the lot — gear, permits, navigation, safety, catering coordination. You bring a sleeping bag, decent boots and an open head.

No two Hattah trips run the same. Fitness level, prior experience, interests, season — all of it shapes the daily plan. Tell us what you're chasing and we'll design the trip.
Sorted.
Private groups, schools running an upper-secondary or VCE expedition, corporate leadership offsites, scout/cadet units, or anyone wanting a genuine remote-bush experience without the logistics nightmare.
Hattah-Kulkyne National Park is about 70km south of Mildura. You're in proper bush — limited phone signal, no shops, no power. We bring everything we need.
Most groups go 3 to 5 days. Anything shorter and you don't really get the deep-bush rhythm. Longer expeditions (7+ days) can be arranged for fitness-ready groups.
No. We pitch the program to the group — first-timers get a properly supported intro to bush camping. Experienced groups get pushed harder.
We bring potable water, set up Leave-No-Trace toilet systems, and run the camp to proper park-standard protocols. It's bush — but it's well-run bush.
April to October. Summer is genuinely too hot in the mallee. Autumn and spring give cool nights, clear skies and the best wildlife activity.
