Allan Hassell

A qualified secondary Physical/Outdoor Education teacher, Allan worked in schools for 15 years before founding the Wild Side Outdoors business in 1995. His qualifications include the Victorian Bushwalking & Mountain Craft Leadership Certificate, Victorian Ski Touring Leadership Certificate, Australian Canoeing Level One Canoeing/Kayaking Instructor, Top Rope Climbing/Abseiling Guide - Natural Surfaces, Level 2 Work Place First Aid, CPR, Bronze Medallion and a Victorian Working With Children Check.
He has over 30 years experience in outdoor and adventure activities including many days experience with school groups ranging from Year 3 through to Year 12 as well as adult groups, a wealth of all year round experience in a number of environments including the Murray River, King's Billabong, Lake Cullulleraine, Hattah Lakes National Park, Mt. Buffalo National Park, The Grampians National Park, The Alpine National Park and the New Zealand Southern Alps, combined with a range of activity experience including Bushwalking, Team Building, Flat & White Water Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Mountain Climbing, Downhill & Cross Country Skiing, Mountain Bike Riding and Orienteering.

 
 

Damien Gibson

In his third year with the business, Damien has a Bachlor of Applied Science (Human Movement) and nearly 10 years experience in the fitness industry working as a Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer. His qualifications include Australian Canoeing Level One Canoeing/Kayaking Instructor, Pool Lifeguard, Level 2 Work Place First Aid, CPR, Bronze Medallion and a Victorian Working With Children Check and he is currently completing a Diploma of Education and a Certificate 4 in Outdoor Recreation.
Damien has nearly 10 years of experience in adventure activities including experience with school groups ranging from Year 3 through to Year 12 as well as adult groups, a range of all year round experience in a number of environments including the Murray River, King's Billabong, Lake Cullulleraine, Hattah Lakes National Park, Mt. Buffalo National Park, The Grampians National Park, The Alpine National Park and has worked and traveled the USA, Canada and Peru, combined with a range of activity experience including Bushwalking, Team Building, Flat & White Water Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Snow Boarding, Downhill & Cross Country Skiing, Mountain Bike Riding and Orienteering.

Brad Hassell

Brad has been working with the business for 5 years and is currently studying to complete a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation. His current qualifications include Australian Canoeing Level One Canoeing/Kayaking Instructor, Pool Lifeguard, Level 2 Work Place First Aid, CPR, Bronze Medallion and a Victorian Working With Children Check.
He has over 5 years experience in adventure activities including experience with school groups ranging from Year 3 through to Year 12 as well as adult groups, a range of all year round experience in a number of environments including the Murray River, King's Billabong, Lake Cullulleraine, Fliners Ranges National Park, Hattah Lakes National Park, Mt. Buffalo National Park, The Grampians National Park, The Alpine National Park, combined with a range of activity experience including Bushwalking, Team Building, Flat & White Water Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Snow Boarding, Downhill & Cross Country Skiing, Mountain Bike Riding and Orienteering.
